650sx throttle cable issue

I don't know why it removed my text but I said...My friend has an 88 650sx and I've only ever worked on super jets and Kawi 750 motors. Now I know that the 650 and 750 motors have a lot of similarities but are the throttle setups the same? We put a Mikuni 44 on it and now it seems like the cable is too short. Does he have the right bracket on there? Can I change the throttle cam around? Help!

i had to make another metal bracket to work when i put a 44 on my 650. You might be able to bend that one to fit, i cant tell from the picture. The throttle cam only spins 180 since its a slot. That wont fix your problem. You can also give the cable more length by adjusting the 2 jam nuts to bring it closer by an inch.
