Custom/Hybrid 650sx pipe mod??????

I know this is for the fx1, but everyone can chime in.

Ok, so i have seen all the 650sx mods where u can weld 4 inches in and change the water flow.

Instead of welding is it possible to just buy a piece of rubber hose to extend the chamber like the 650sx coffmans pipes had?

If possible will it give the same power as welding. I can do either but the hose is faster and easier.
Also i need a coffmans or FP mani cheap, anyone have one?

I have a pipe like that on my X2. It has an extended chamber on it. Good bottom end! I also cut up another stock SX pipe to do the same for my SJ. It's the "poor" mans b-pipe.

I have never just used hose to extend it, but i know it can be done. I guess with a tight seal so there are no leaks it should work just fine. I just prefer to have it welded so i know for sure.

You can also cut up another stock tail cone and use two couplers,welding it is the best option though.

Hey you guy's talkin about extending the stinger/pipe.I have another complete Exhaust for my x2. So if I extend the pipe I'll have better bottom end.Also Have a factory pipe water box that is not baffeled will this help to?

Ya, extend your tail cone about 4" and add a stinger at the end. Also, put a jet inline to the stinger to reduce the water flow a bit and dry it out. Here's a couple pics of the one I run on my X2.

Your talkin about putting a T in the water line that goes to the pee hole on the side of the ski above the exhaust outlet and I see you put in a water inlet to the end of the tailcone

Also want to put less water in the waterbox more out the pee hole. I was told I could drill out the pee hole and use a bigger water line but I don't want to hurt the motor.It's got 165 plus compression in both cylinder's and runs good but I would like more bottom end.My ski is all stock except for no oil pump/tank I premix.

I T'd mine off inline to the pisser and sent a line to the stinger that has a tiny jet in it to limit the flow into the stinger. It's a brass fitting that i drilled out and threaded to fit the carb jet.
