650SX issues running

My 650, which has had a multitude of different issues is now having two issues that are particular troublesome.
1. My ebox and starter have been replaced with new parts so I don’t think the problem is due to rust or wear. Anyway, clicking the green ignition button on the ski works just fine (a little faster spinning than i remember but works nonetheless) for the first two clicks of the button, but after that the starter refuses to spin the engine despite mashing on the start button (no clicking, complete silence). The strangest part of this ordeal is that the whole cycle will repeat if i wait for a decent amount of time.
2. My engine will start and run for about 2 seconds before being drown out and dying again. Initially I thought it was the fuel lines, but those have all been replaced. I’ve attempted to open up the carburetor (Mikuni 44mm) and rebuild the pump, but the carburetor is from an old ski that was run in salt water and the screws refuse to turn and threaten to strip at the slightest turn of a screwdriver.
Sorry for the rant, it’s late at night and i’ve been working on this D**m thing all day trying to get it figured out. Any help is appreciated.

i guess i had my music up too high while working. I do hear a faint click coming from the ebox as shown in the video. The ebox is new though so i’m confused as to what the issue is.

also seems like the contact in your solenoid is crappy or possibly bad connection somewhere between battery-solenoid-starter, solenoid is clicking so button and connections to it are fine

This is not necessarily true. A voltage loss can cause a start relay to just click. Voltage loss can be from a bad connection, bad battery cable, worn/dirty start switch contacts, worn/dirty inner start relay contacts, ect.

The OP needs to get a test light, and multi meter and start some testing. Don't assume anything.

Running problems could be from so many things. Again, we need more info - you need to do some more testing. Simplify, and then break it down. Foe an engine to run you need spark, fuel and compression. You need to determine what is mossing from this equation, and then trouble shoot from there.

Kinda splitting hairs ain’t ya, don’t wanna start a big debate all I’m saying is if it was my ski and the solenoid clicked every time I hit the button, I wouldn’t be looking at the button first lol.

No, I am not splitting hairs.... You said "solenoid is clicking so button and connections to it are fine" All I am saying this is not true....

Just trying to help. Yes, I agree start at the button. Just don't EVER assume anything, or you will be chasing your tail. He needs to do some testing.
