650/X-2 650sx Build thread!

I picked this ski up on St Patty's day. Bought 4 bins of parts from various skis including one "full" 650. and an empty hull.
Started off with some fiberglass work/filling. Then sanded a BUNCH to prep it for paint.

Then built the motor right from bottom up. New seals/rings/gaskets all around. Thought about building the 830 Big bore kit that came with it but i'm waiting for a separate bottom end to build it on.

How does that top loader and 9/17 impeller work I have the same setup besides those two I have a solas 16 prop and an open grate

i dont know much about the pitch of props but im looking for a all bottom end prop is the 9/17 a good bottom end? im not worried about top end at all. if it isnt what is a good botom end one

None of the old 650 impellers make great low speed thrust. Get a modified 750/800 Skat 9-17 swirl or 11-16 concord.
