Super Jet 650 to 701 swap

i bought a 701 62t engine to put into my square nose, and im wondering if the stator/flywheel/ebox from the 650 will work on the 701? is there a performance difference between the 650 electronics setup and a 62t electronics setup?

yes it will work however you might want to have the 6m6 rev limiter disabled, the 62t cdi should have a higher rev limit as is.

Timing is same i believe, or at least it will work. Exh may be different as well. New is 62T old is 6M6 is i remember correctly. Which exh are you using 650, 701 or aftermarket?

i am running original 650 6m6 electronics (with rev limiters disabled) in a 61x/62t and in a 62t/62t each in 1990 sn boats(with all bolt-ons, porting, & AM pipes)---it works-- just hook up with nuklear (mbr here) and change the 6m6 cdi rev limit (he is the cheapest--around $30 + shipping) and go for it.
