You can always put heli coils in the cylinder or "block" lol jk bro. But to me it didnt look like the gasket would seal. But i heard of guys saying that would work.

I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while. It has been a hell of a month buying the wrong parts and trying to fabricate certain things. The "direct swap" comment I took much much too literally. I have had to replace the head with a 61x to reposition the sensor from being pinched by the exhaust mounting bracket. I have gotten what I believe is a 61x manifold and drilled the bolts holes out to fit the 62T manifold bolts. The exhaust elbow did not fit nearly as well as I believe it should and now have to find replacement bolts to attach it to the manifold properly.
More importantly with the 94 Waveraider 62T, the (coupler on the motor) is closer to the motor than the 93 Superjets 650. I thought an extended/longer midshaft is what I needed. I bought a more recent SJ models midshaft to press after reading some spec sheets but the shoulder on the shaft actually placed it further from the coupler and closer to the bearing, going the opposite direction of what I intended. I noticed the washer around the midshaft, next to the coupler, took it to the local Ace/Handyman Hardware store and it matched up perfectly. Added three washers to extend the coupler (which still left a great amount of thread in the coupler) and a tighter fit. Today I finally got things a little more in-line and got the ski running. Couldnt charge the hoses with fuel at first. Of course, it was the $7 primer bulb failing.
Next on the list of things to buy is a set of straight bars, exhaust set-up, and possibly impeller.
While this month long of set backs has occured, my brother went out and bought a 95 FX-1 from a guy in the STL Crew (had stickers on it anyway) that has footholds, reinforced hull and a good number of little add-ons that has made me extremely envious. He bought his for what I've put in mine after the initial purchase and it runs very strong. Thats how it goes I guess.
I'll do my best to keep the updates coming. I wasn't aware the thread was getting so much attention.
