Some ppl say a flat deck handles better cuz u can widen your stance in the tray... Im purely doing it for looks and o be different... And i wanted to do a ski build and this is what i had to work with and got some sweet deals on a ac racing pole and sbn 44 carb and maximum thrust intake with reed stuffers... And more than likley wont b doing this much modding to a sn when i get one besides footholds and motor mods cuz its a pita to do

The first picture is off how the stinger is welded in on a pjs pipe, the second pictue is of where you would have to weld in a stinger if you wher to use a stock 650 pipe the third picture is of the water outlet whole on the exhaust manifoild. YOu will have to fill in the stock water hole with jb weld and then drill it out to 3/32. the third and fourth picture are showing where i use a westcoast 550 pipe that all ready had a stinger in it instead of welding in a stinger on my stock 650 exhaust, they also show how i routed the water with a t-fitting about two inches before the stinger, with the water coming from the exhaust manifiold T,ed of to a water outlet on the side and to the stinger. View attachment 137712here the water outlet that i installed on mine, you can keep the stock water outlet and water line that come stock, but you do have to close of the water outlet on the expansion chamber, i just screwed a stanless steel screw into mine and put a little silicone around it and it dosent leak at all
Officially convinced my brother to start putting some money into his 650SX. Any updates on this thread? Did you end up using reinforcing bars across the tray?
