650 SX Carb Help Needed

I just bought a couple of skis and one of them is giving me trouble. It's a 440/550 hull with a 650 motor. First time I took it out last weekend it didn't want to idle and you had to keep on it or it would die. I turned the idle up a tiny bit and today at first it ran great, but then after about 10 minutes it started to crap out when I'd give it gas and would die if I didn't let off in time. Felt like it was starving for fuel. Thought maybe it was a clogged fuel filter, but after I pulled it out, the flow looked good so I figured maybe the carb needed to be cleaned. When I pulled the carb apart, I noticed the diaphragm with the round metal disk on it was torn. and when I pulled the fuel pump one of the gaskets self destructed.

So first question . . . would a tear in that diaphragm cause the issue I was having?

. . . and where is the best place to get carb parts?

Figured out I have a CDKII carb . . . I have a carb/ fuel pump rebuild kit ordered. I'm hoping this does the trick. Last weekend it didn't want to idle, but ran well if you stayed on the throttle. This weekend it was running great but then started cutting out when I was on the throttle and would die, but would idle and come right off idle okay. Definitely felt like a fuel issue where it started starving for fuel. Any other ideas or things to check?
