Can anyone tell me if a 650 factory B pipe will bolt up to a 701? i have a chance to pick up a 93 SJ with a factory B, an aluminium handle pole, UMI steering and a SS prop along with a few extra goodies thrown in for $400. I know that this is a good deal, I really want the pipe for my 701 and am curious if anyone has done this?

i'm in the same boat as you and i'm not totally sure.. i mocked up everything on my block
not knowing i had a 650 chamber and it looks like it will work..but, i'm getting
a mod chamber because that's what i wanted in the first place.. i'm not going to run
it to find out.

You can modify the 650 manifold by matching the exhaust ports. The headpipe to manifold opening could be opened us as well to work better with the 701.
The chambers are quite a bit differen't, and don't work as well as a 701 chamber.
