650/701 Stock Exhaust Difference

Is there any difference in the manifold or chamber? I have an exhaust off of a 650 I want to put on a 701.

If it helps, 6M7 is stamped on the manifold. Been searching but still cant find the answer.

I used to read all of the time that the 701 exuast made more power on a 650.

that would leadme to think they were different.

have you looked up the part numbers of the OEM stuff on rivayamaha parts fiche?

think the ports on teh manifold are much smaller for the 650 manifold........ you could port it to match.

Yep, different part numbers. I really wanted to know what the diffences were. I'm sure it is the port size.

could someone tell me if the outlet (particularly the bolt pattern) of a stock exhaust manifold (to chamber) is the same on a 701 vs. 650?

i have a protec exhaust without the protec manifold. it was on my 650 for years and bolted directly to the stock 650 manifold outlet.

now i want to sale the exhaust and wonder if it will fit on a 701 also?

It will fit a 61X cylinder.
