so i got my first 95 b1 last week very clean ski, but dont know crap bout it, carb was crappy so i took it to tom21 for him to go threw it, he and and when i went to pick up ski he brought it to my att. that he was maybe thinking my motor is a 650 not a 701, is there anyway to tell just by looking at it, i dont think it has like that lil tag that says what it is, it has number and letters scarched on the head like it was a shlef motor at a shop or something, so not i wanna know whats up with that, also on the hull there is a pisser but on the inside it has a cap on the end, so something is up, where on the motor would a pisser water come from, does it have a drain on a stock pipe setup, can anyone help on both of these thanks guys, i mean i just dont get how there is a pisser on hull but nothing is hooked to it, its like there was a pipe or diff engine and it got swaped or something

Someone has had aftermarket exhaust on it at some point if it has a pisser. They probably just put the stocker back on when they sold it. You could hook it up into the line that feeds the bottom of the exhaust manifold, but it's not really worth it IMO.
There's an easy reference number for engine size somewhere but I can't remember exactly where. I'm sure someone will jump on here and tell ya.

aaron- you can look at the intake manifold and tell. I have two motors at the shop I can show you.
what do i got to look for on the manifold, do i got to take it off or out the ski

aaron, I'm pretty sure your motor is a 650. whitout a doubt it has a 650 case. you can't see what cylinder it is with the exhaust on but it would be silly to have a mismatched 701 cylinder on a 650 case.

if there is a one inch square hole in front of the carb in the middle of the manifold its a 650. the 701 has not hole just a small drain like a 6 x 100 bolt would fit in.

im trying to make it out bud, had alot happen this morning its been nuts, how mush less is the power in the 650 compared to the 701, will a riva red fit on either
