Super Jet 62t cases

So I was pulling my cases apart and found a nice crack in the bottom of the case. I need a new bottom case, however I noticed 6m601 stamped on the bottom case, top case says 62t. So is it possible to use a 650 case on the bottom? 6m6 was the 650 motor right?
also how do you tell if crank bearings are good?

Yes it is possible. It's not a great ifea, as top and bottom are matched at the factory.

Yeah I was thinking about that after I posted. What about the crank bearings, they spin freely.

If the bearings:

  • spin freely
  • spin without noise
  • spin without any irregularities
  • are free of obvious signs of corrosion
then the crank is fine to use. (but check rod big end play)
