62t/62t SJ tuning w/ FP

I put a Waveraider engine in my SN along with a FP B1 Mod chamber. This is the same pipe as the Raider pipe, which FP recommends stock jetting for- 130/120 for the main jets, and 67.5 for the pilots. I made the adjustments per the Raider instruction sheet and it seems to run great, but I havent had it on the water yet.

Question is, should I use these same jetting specs for this engine in a SJ? I know the engine load will be less, but how exactly will this affect jetting.

Anyone have a 62t/62t engine in a SJ with a FP have any jetting recommendations?

Don't make any assumptions on carb tuning. Make it fourcycle and lean from there.

I realize I will have to do some plug reading. I am mainly wondering how engine load affects the jetting. I will be the first to admit that I am terrible in this subject.

Assuming the jetting was spot on while the engine was in the Raider, how does it being put in to a SJ (with stock impeller and single cooling) affect things? I have single cooling at the moment because I am using a stock 64u head.

You should be fine with what FP says for jetting! Used it on mine raider motor I put in my SJ and it was pretty damn close, I just had to mess with the screws for a bit to get it perfect.

Use the stock F/A with all the screens and don't remove the choke plates out of the carbs too.
You might need a bigger low jet. Definitely will if you use a Jetworks flow control valve on the stinger feed.

i dont get this? raider is stock 130, 120, 67.5 when a superjet is 130 130, 70 fp reccomends 135s and 70s i take it cause sjs are running 61x cylinders ?
any one tryed 130 130s and 67.5s on the 62t? whats the point of runnig the mag side? i take it cause carb fuel pump is on the pto?

I dont have a flow control valve, but I am using a T that has a reduced diameter on the leg that flows to the stinger. I did leave in the choke plates and drilled the stock FA bottom plate for my primer.

Got it out on the water today to see how it ran. It seems to run great- only thing I am worried about is the headpipe seems to be pretty hot, which leads me to believe it is lean. I never noticed my headpipe on the RN being very hot, but this skis headpipe is so hot you cant hold your hand against it. What kind of temps should I be seeing?
