Super Jet 61x electrical woes

so I got a 95 wet jet with the 61x 701 had a dead battery when I bought it but saw it run with a jump start so I knew it ran. I also have a 95 square which was having intermitten start issues http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/133316-starter-quit I swapped the solenoid from the wet jet to the superjet and ordered a new solenoid for the wetjet so more to the point I guess with a new solenoid and battery the wet jet does nothing when I hit the green button but will fire right up if I jump the posts on the solenoid. while im getting really good at parts swapping on these I still am pretty clueless on this electrical stuff anybody got a good suggestion as what to do next I don't mind doing a little rigging on this wet jet either

You could have a faulty switch.

Switch the wires on the posts of the solenoid. That solved my problem.

check your ground.. that was my issue

not sure how to test the switch / I knew that I had the wires on the right posts on the solenoid but I switched em just to check / grounds have been checked but I think im gonna run a wire from one of the grounds in the ebox to the neg - on the battery and see if that does any thing

adding the wire from the ebox ground to the neg- battery post didn't do anything. I jumped a wire from the small brown wire on the solenoid to the pos+ terminal on the battery and it cranked

you have something going on witht he switch or switch wiring then if the solenoid tested good when powering the brown wire.

Try jumping out the start circuit on the ebox side plug with a piece of wire. The white plug coming out of the ebox basically.

just did that it cranked I guess that means the switch is the prob right?

I would say so. Try contact cleaner on the switch side of the white plug. Use a pick to scrape the metal pin if it has any corrosion.

Or put a new switch on there and call it a day.
