i'll be porting some 61x cases this winter as well. Does the 650 cylinder fit fine on the 61x cases? I've ported a 650 this winter but havent put it together yet. Cylinder is at my brothers or i'd just test fit it. I got two 61x cases for 20 bucks each (shipped plus reed cages, HA!) and figure i might as well switch to the bigger reeds.

wow it seams like everyone is building up a 650 for there wife/girlfriend... im porting 6m6 cases and cyl for my old 90 650LX waverunner and painting it also for my girlfriend cause she was complaining it had no power and outdated paint compared to my new 61x(case/cyl) SN ,but not pink! I made her change her mind to red :Banane01:

why don't you port one jug at a time and post pictures of the ported/unported cylinder and cases. That way people like me (the unporting kind) can get a good look at what's being attempted.


I have been reading as much as I can on porting but looking at just the "after" pictures isn't giving me the whole picture.
I know if I saw someone do it live it would be a different story but I don't think that's going to happen any time soon.

Now, who wants to experiment with my 650 ? :biggthumpup:

I will look in my warehouse ( attic,closet, laundry room) tonight and see where the last 650 I messed with is, I think I only did one cylinder of it.

Yes they fit perfectly on th x case.:biggthumpup: Its kinda funny I'm putting a protec 6m6 701 bigbore cylinder on some x cases as we speak. It will be interesting to see what it gains.
