Pulled the engine to do a leak down test while getting some hull work done and the fun begins. Leaked like a siv.
Split the cases, cleaned everything up and sealed it back together. No leaks. (by the way "leakdown test" tech thread is very helpfull). Here is my question though.
Started looking and noticed the top half of case is stamped 61T and the bottom half is stamped 6m6. What if any are the implications? This has been ran like this for at least 4 seasons. Bought it that way and never had the engine out to look.
Was hoping to use cases in a big engine package next year but that may/may not be a good option now. Any feedback is welcome.
