300/440/550 550sx stearing?

hey i just picked up a 1990 550sx today, runs good, can tell the head is aftermarket has a stanless impeller and aftermarket pistons also a primer set up and bilge, i had a js650 earlyer this year as my first ski but it turned out to be a lemon after only a few weeks of riding it, but the sx wont turn left? it will turn right sharp as hell as i remember the js turning but when you cut left it will only make a really wide turn if you lean enough but you can keep going straight with the bars cut left if you dont lean into it, any advise would be appreciated, when i move the jet drive by hand it turns the bars.

also as my js650 would cut right to circles when i fell off the 550sx kept going straight after for at least 50 yards till one of my buddies chased it down it cut it off

try re centering the steering so it goes straight. that should give you equal steering left and right

im not really sure what the issue is full turn on the bars to the left seems fully equal to full turn right on the bars thats whats throwing me off

could it have somthing to do with the nozzle?

As mentioned before pull the cable ends off and center the steering cable. While they're off, make sure the nozzle pivots both directions, can't really see how it couldn't. Check the clip on the pole that holds the cable and the clip that holds the cable where it enters the hull fitting. I had this problem when the cable housing would slip off the clip at the pole causing the cable and housing to slide into the pole when turning one direction.

nothin looks cracked at all, i cant see why it would act the way it does
