What a noob
i have a late 80's 550 hull that i have swapped a 1999 750ss motor into, it has a 650 pipe, and aftermarket water box.
the intake grate, and pump are from a 550, maybe 440?
it has a bilge pump and i did convert it to rear exhaust but that was a terrible idea because of backpressure, the 750 didnt like it. so now it is front exhaust again. i was wondering what i could do with the pvc pipe running through the hull to the rear? and what adjustments i should make to the pump.
also what impeller and intake.
thanks alot
David

Find out if the pump is a 440 or 550 for sure. Look in the back of the pump and check if you can see a grease nipple. If so its a 440 pump. A 440 pump would not be good for this setup unless you want all out top speed at very high RPM's. The 550 pump would work better as a rec ski.
As for the PVC pipe you have running through you could just fiberglass it shut or you could turn it into a scupper valve.
