anyone know what the js550 pump endplay/shim clearance spec is?

i remember it being .15mm +- but is been a few years since i did one of these

I checked my book. It says you need to calculate the clearance between the height of the end cap shoulder and the depth of the guide van casing contact service. Then depending on your results you need to shim it accordingly. Then it gives me a table of shim thickness to calculated clearance.
Does this sound like the right area? If so I can give you the table measurements, I'm just not sure I'm in the right section.

the clearance between the pump housing and impeller should be between 0.2mm and 0.3mm

to be clear this post was regarding bearing endplay not impeller clearance.

gtgoat that is what i was looking for. is the book you have for the js pump or sx?

Sorry for the late response Screaming. I've been traveling for 2 weeks.
The book I use is for a JS. It's an old Seloc manual. It says it covers all Kawi's up to 1991. I didn't even check to see if it has an SX section. Let me know if you need the specs. PM me if I forget.
