300/440/550 550 pole bracket flush mount

Has anyone made the handlepole bracket flush with the hull before with a custom handle pole? Im curious cuase im taking on the challenge and any pics of one already done would be great.....

Yes it has been done many times. A JS800 out of Japan is the one ski that comes to mind.

i have been toying with this idea as well, i have seen a few custom made aluminum poles, but i was wondering what the strentgh would be like if the glass under mounting plate area was cut and dropped done, but then again you have to adjust the hood so the pole would fit or ise a cusotm made pole
