300/440/550 550 no click no turn over no nothing

i know its winter...

however i figured i would officaily winterize it so i took it to work today and decided to start it up, however she had other plans. when i pushed the started it didn't turn over, it didn't even click. are there any fuses in these things? i know i have like 5 months till i can ride again but id like to know its running when the time comes. i charged the battery and i even tried to jump it and still nothing.

Check to see if you have power to the starter relay and the start switch. Also check for a ground to the engine. If you have both, run a temporary ground from the engine or battery to one of the sealing bolts on the electrical box.

Also check for continuity(sp?) between the wires to the starter switch when the button is depressed.

ground, start stop button, silenoid. touch the battery post to the starter post on the e box and it should start if you have a good ground

It may be a dumb question but you do have the little extra switch on your stop/start switch flipped open, right? (If yours has this, just a shot)

no dumb questions, that very thing happened to me on the lake and gave me a good scare, i really didnt want to have to swim all the way back to shore.
