300/440/550 550 44sbn jet specs

Just ride
Was going to put a sbn44 on my 550 I am building. I know I am going to need spacers, but it will also have either a stock jetpower pipe or an RRacing pipe on it. For the RRacing I was going to put in a 120 main and 115 pilot and 85g spring. For the stock I was going to Try 115 main and 110pilot with 85gram spring. How do these numbers sounds? Keep in mind that if I use the RRacing pipe it will be the only aftermarket piece on the ski. BTW it is a piston port motor.

I used to run a 44sbn on my piston port 550 and ran 49-50 mph with it. I think my jetting was 110L/125H and no idea on popoff, somewhere around 20psi.

I forgot!
i got a 44 off a superjet 701 and put it on my buddies piston port 550 and the ski has NEVER run better. starts right up and no bogging out or hesitation. all you need is a spacer plate or angled intake and your set. I would guess that it is running very close to 50mph with the same jetting as superjett said, i also don't know what needle and seat are in it.

Same here, my 550 ran perfectly, idled perfectly, that was the best tuned ski I've ever had, just perfect carburetion with that carb.

i would agree, my buddy hasn't rode all year and i told him that i tuned his ski with a new carb and so he brought it to freestyle fest ipperwash and was all smiles. That ski does have the limited half pipe on it and 180 psi but that is pretty much it. the old round style carb was junk compared to the way it runs now.
