5200 on exhaust tube???

Im getting ready to seal up my tray. I can use 5200 to seal the exhaust pipe at both ends right??

5200 the he!! out of it make sure to seal the heck out of it it does not get that hot if thats what your worried about

5200 isn't made to adhere to metal.

Nothing actualy sticks to metal... the product tech sheets say "properly prepaired metal" just like all glues and paint that are worth a $hit and have proper data. acit etching metal is nesisaly to get a good bond, Epoxy primer, self etching primer, and SOME body fillers are the only true direct to metal products

it actualy says it seals metal buy it needs to be primed for a structural bond....

3M 4200 lists adhesion to fiberglass and metals, 5200 only lists fiberglass. I've had 5200 peel right off of aluminum and stainless......my 4200 is still holding.

read farther into the link i posted.... it even has the shear sthrenth to steel, stainless, aluminum, etc
