50/1 in a stock 650 SJ?

I bought a completely stock 90 SN and the manual says 50/1 in the gas but I wanted to check and see what you guys thought... it's my first ski and I don't want to blow her up my first time out.

Most people run between 40:1 and 50:1 while some run as much as 32:1. You'll be fine but I wouldn't go beyond 50:1. I typically shoot for 45:1 as a happy medium and it gives me room for error if I put too much gas in or too little oil.

50:1 you should be fine, i run 40:1 quicksilver

45:1 here as well, also on a 650 SuperJet. You could consider it a "generous" 50:1.

Thanks I was planning on going a lil strong bc i would rather fale a plug than blow the engine.

You can seize your engine by running too much oil as well so keep it around 40-50:1 unless an engine builder tells you otherwise for a special engine they built you.
