I use the bulbs. Dont want to hit my knee or something on the push pull style. I only have to use the primer once a ride and my bulb has been on the ski for over 2 years, 90% in saltwater.

That's typically what they do when the primer isn't primed (aka completely dry). Sounds like fuel is leaking out of the primer itself over time. I bet a new o-ring will solve your issues.

ill give it a shot. it worked fine for 5 months or so, but then one day it wouldnt prime, but just pull itself back in abruptly.

i have kits, parts, etc here.

our plungers are made in the USA. i have used them for many years, with no issues. been on both my SXR, and SJ since 04 or 05, and not changed yet....

you can order at www.watcon.com look in the fuel section

When you take em apart the primer nozzle area is a pressed fit...do they ever leak when you press them back together ? there is no gasket... then it would drip slowly in your hull...not good...anyone find them to leak after putting in a new oring ?

My primer stopped working mid summer. Used my hand over the carb to pull gas through to start it up initially for the day (prob not a good idea cause sometimes you got a wet hand). Took apart the primer to see if i could fix it, figured it was the o-ring. so ran out to sears to get an o-ring, bought a couple different sizes none of them were right. So if you find a replacement o-ring that works let us know... ended up buying a new one. also i believe the plastic knob on the handle must come off in order to replace the o ring. the knob is not going to come off unless you cut it off.
