if ya can help a newbie real quick

i'm a newb with a question. Why do ya call it a Factory B Pipe... at the Factory Pipe website they call this pipe their Factory Limited Pipe, right?

i'm guessing that when a person says factory b pipe, it is understood that it's a Factory Limited Pipe and that's it's just the B style vs. A style?

i have a '96 kaw SXI when i called a shop about a pipe they recommended the Factory B Pipe. when i went to the Factory website all i found was the Factory 750SX/SXI Limited pipe for my ski.

B-pipe means Factory wet pipe for the Yamaha twin cylinder engine.
After B-pipe, you specify which chamber.

B-mod, B-limited, B-Blaster mod, etc.

so using that term 'B Pipe' for my kawi SXI would be erroneous right?

been studing the factory website. they only make one pipe/system for my ski ...and they call it the 750SX/SXI Limited pipe. so when any shop is talking about a Factory Pipe for my ski, they really should only be calling it the Factory Limited pipe. using the term 'factory B pipe' would be... twice i've heard the Factory pipe system for my ski referred to as 'B pipe'.

btw, for superjets that Waveraider chamber sounds like the best!

I was trying to find the post with the explanation of why it's called a "B" pipe, but can't locate it.

What I remember is that name (actually nickname) came from the days pre-internet. That style pipe was marked item "B" on the catalog page.

if you look here:

http://www.factorypipe.com/t_pipetuning.php

they even reference "A" and "B" headpipes

officially, it's a "701 superjet limited" or a "701 superjet mod" - if you call and ask for a manifold for a 61X cylinder - that just confuses them (at least that was my experience).

what I'm saying is that the names that we call them - are not the exact names in the FP catalog/website.
