Is it blue in color? Never heard of a 40mm.

The 94-95 X2 used that carb on a standard 91-up manifold. There is no great performance difference over a 38. If you decide to run the 40 you should bore the manifold inlet to match. Jetting requirements will be much richer than what is in the 750 carb. You will need an 85 pilot jet and a 150-160 main, the top screw will need to be power tuned from there. This jetting is for stock flame arrestors, open F/As will need a larger main jet if the top screw ends up over 2 turns out.
