what caused this wasnot flushing it out properly on the yamaha four stoke waverunners it is "engine first, engine last". Its not that hard Start the engine, turn on the hose within 15-20 seconds, let ski idle on the hose, turn off hose, blip throttle on ski for 5-10 seconds not exceeding 4000 rpm to clear any excess water out.

Turns out some people just cant do that in any way shape or form. 4 strokes are so easy all you do is put gas in it, make sure it has oil in it, and change the oil and spark plugs every 100 hrs oh yea and hit the one grease point every 40 hours with one SLOW pump of grease. But Noooooooo most people never take off the seat so you wind up with a corroded, rusted mess like this one has.

Honestly there aint much to go wrong with the four strokes if it dies on the water then you either ran out of gas the oil level got too low or the plugs fouled out. i was riding around on mine one day shut it off to wait for a friend and went to start back up and that was a no go nothing at all. so walked to the back took the seats off set them in the water and got to looking around for the problem. Turns out battery cable ground was loose so i snagged my tools out of the kit that came with the ski and put it back on. fired right up and never went back to the dock.

The four strokes are simple, if you change the oil and plugs at the beginning of the riding season then you dont have to worry about them till next season. to be honest i managed to only put 40 hours on my ski last season and i parked it in november, pulled it back out in early march and i am still on the same oil and the same plugs. I sprayed the fogging oil down the throttle bodies and parked it. About every 3 weeks i would go out in the garage and fire it up for about 5-10 seconds and shut it back off
