give a slight pre turn, stay centered on the ski, and hit a steeper wave. bars to lock and wfo once the nose breaks the lip.

That's how I started to roll... transition from the NS to the BR.
Eric you are right where I was before I was landing BR's... lean more to the left off the lip and lead with your head. Once you start doing that it will help get you out of the NS position so you get a flatter to more nose up rotation rather than a nose down rotation.
