thats an aweful lot of trouble.

I grind the base on the driveway or garage floor ( perfect rough finish) wipe it with acetone, then use the same rag to wipe below the couplers, squirt some PL-II out of the caulk gun, stick it down, mush and twist to line up the output nipple, drink a beer.

then go ride.

Now that there is some funny poop-thats exactly how I sanded mine.

As long as youre sure use sandpaper on the pump and you should be ok. Rough the surfaces up on the ski and pump; I sanded and I used acetone to clean the surfaces, and after that I had no problems.

uh, how is this different than liquid nails??
did you look at the tub and shower surround Adheasive, seams like that would be the stuff to use, most surrounds are fibreglass!!!!!!!!

I have no idea how its different, I just know it works on wood/steel/aluminum/plastic/and fiberglass.

all thigns ive used it on with GREAT success, it dries fast, hard as a rock, and is waterproof.

Im not sure what qualitites you look for in an adhesive, but this for sure meets mine.

fawk, im not trying to sell the stuff, just helpa brother out.

He doesnt need some nasa mixed ratio crap with $45 worth of epoxy and fillers in it.

actually, he does, we need to make this as difficult as possible.......... didnt you see it issue of RIDE from Lanier???

Its funny, actually, we had a tube of liquid nails in my garage so I figured, hey its warm enough to ride, so I used the liquid nails to secure my turf. Honestly, the color is a little different but it seems to work pretty well. Ive only ridden three or four times since I used liquid nails to tack in my turf, but it seems to have worked just as well as the contact cement I got from wamiltons.

5200 woes.

I gave up on 5200, as it takes too long to cure and the adhesion quality isn't that good. Blowsion & I both carry the 940FS Urethane sealant, as it sets up better, is sandable, and seems to work best for Tubbies, etc. The price is $15.95 per tube, and it fits into your caulking gun like the 5200
Thanks,
Randy
