Custom/Hybrid 300sx+sn bottom+ waveraider=?

Hey Guys a quick question for the experts on my winter project. I have a 89 300sx that i bought earlier this year, picked a 90 sn without engine and pump this summer also. So the plan is to put a 701 in it this winter. And i just found a 97 raider 700 for sale on cl, what do you guys think, wanted to know if that engine and pump would work bolted to a sn bottom and fit in a 300 hull, b4 i go buying.

Basically you cut the pump tunnel out of the SN and graft it into the 300SX ,no way those two hulls would ever come close to matching up to separate and put back together.

The raider will either have a 62t engine or 61x engine depending on the year model, the Superjet engine is a 62t case with a 61x cylinder. The pumps are similar but the driveshaft is going to be a different length.So similar yes, the same no.

waveraider pump is different

the wear ring section/reduction nozzle can be used if your doing a cats trim

the vein section does not have the tapped holes, but has through holes, so you will have to modify it to make it work

Ok guys thanks for the help. The guy wants 450 for this 97 waveraider, so im thinking this would be a good donor ski to cut up and get this project started

Hey guys i got started on this project this past weekend:woot: Check out the pics and tell me what you think. I have my order from uAs with some 1708 and some foam coming friday. Anyone around the twin cities that has some spare time that would like to give me some pointers or lay some glass would be great. Im also looking for a water box and a sj shaft if you know of someone local let me know.

I have a superjet driveshaft with MINT splines. I wasnt planning to separate from the pump stator but PM me if you are interested (I wont remember to check this thread)

Ups man dropped off some goods from us today. 3yards of 1708 bi, gallon of thin resin, some chop, 404 and some foam, that should get me by i hope?

Got some more sanding done tonight with some 40 grit, do i have to get all the paint off or will the epoxy stick to it if i just ruff it up?

I need like a sj pro to come over and answer all my stupid questions like, what angle to put the exhaust tube at, spare tubes, steering cable tubes/cable right b4 i start poring foam!!!

What do u guys think about the hand pole, sn or stock sx, i plan on chopping the nose off also.

Started to glass the bottom in today, went pretty good i thought. Im going to put a layer on the bottom and sides of the engine bay tomorrow :biggthumpup:
