Yeah I know it's been a minute , more like three months , but anyway last time I worked on this I found some cracks, brokenhearted and disgusted I just called it quits, na actually work got in the way of fun as always , at any rate here we go.
It took me a while of thinking on this problem before I came up with a solution, that solution was electric fence fiberglass rod from Tractor supply, cost was about $2.50 . I did take a grinder to the rods I put in to give the epoxy something tho stick too they are finished out with a very slick and smooth finish .
I busted open the edges with a grinder and flap disc the hogged out the foam so the rod would lay in there , I sharpened the ends like a pencil , then I mixed up the flavor of the day , epoxy mixed with cabosil and troweled it in the groove , I laid the rod in place , on the right side I had to put it in in two pieces , on the left side it's one piece , I then smoothed the epoxy over the top of it and duct taped it in place till it cures off.
I will still have to do some glassing but now I actually have something to glass to , this whole job took like maybe 30 minutes so far .
