300sx end of summer/ winter build

looking good. where did u trim for the 650 pump? sorry i dont have pics yet work has been insane. i notice u didnt cut out the whole tunnel. i would much prefer to just trim it a little than graft in the whole bottom of the hull
Trimmed it out just like the 650 cavity is cut, to where the ears on the front of the pump are inset into the cavity

I'll try to take some pics when I flip it over tomorrow.

Got some more cutting done when I got home today. I really like the way it's starting to look!
Still have a lot of shaping ahead of me

sweet. building one for my son and really dont want to use a stock pump and he wont tell the difference between a 300 intake and a 650 intake (he is 8). thanks for the tips. love the gunwhales look but i hope you know how hard that makes them to get on in deep water lol.

I road a chan a couple of times and that is the hardest ski to get up on because the gunwales are only like 2 inches tall.
I think It's easier to graft a whole cavity in than to put the 650 pump in the 300 cavity.

@Twake on the forums here built one last year with a 650 motor and pump along with a LTD A.A.A. Pole and bracket with EME Footholds and he reshaped the whole front.
Was a funn little ski for sure, I'm sure he can guide you in anyways if you need, I'm sure he has pics also

Ground the rail off the front last night, still have alittle more shaping but it's close.

Does anybody have experience with a pancake Pete front foothold?
If so is it worth it or not?
