I finally got out on some smooth water today and notice a momentary blip hesitation anywhere from 3/4 up. I tried richening screw to get rid of it and even leaning it (thinking I was bogging from being too rich). from 2 1/2 out to 1/2 really no difference. So I am thinking a have a fuel delivery problem. The first thing that popped into my head is the check valve that goes to the fuel tank.. I can blow air through it both ways. Is that normal? How should it work.. If that's not the problem, I plan to remove the group k fuel air seperator with it's fuel pump and put the fuel pump back on the carb.. I would find it hard to believe that I am running too lean in the carb settings cause they are over rich and I am wanting to lean since it's a new motor.. Motor specs: Stage 2 ported 718. ADA head 185 compression, vforce reeds, msd enhancer, lightened flywheel, group k taper bored carb(long story short, their settings won't even start the ski.) Running 100/93 mix 50/50 to be safe. Carb settings: 25 pop off 150 HSJ 100 lSJ 7/8 turn out on low.. R&D flame arrestors.. BTW ski runs awesome up to 1/2 throttle. So either it's check valve, fuel lines bent too much restricting gas, or auxillary fuel pump in fuel seperator(I just rebuilt also). Thanks for your help.
