Am I on drugs or did i read recently that there was or will be a second generation TBM Charging flywheel available?

I read very well and very fast but my retention has dropped significantly with age...:17:

Called TBM today & asked about First Gen & 2nd Gen TBM Yamaha 62T Flywheels. Flywheels look the same, first gen haven't been produced in 3 yrs. The magnets changed & the screws on the back changed length. Thats what I was told today.

Here is the official word from Tim Himself,

Hello,
We only built the first 100 flywheels back in 2007 with disc shaped magnets, but for the past 3 years they have been square which gives them a similar leading edge to the stock flywheel. If the triggering method is super sensitive it will not work with our flywheel as the aluminum acts as a slight buffer between the magnets and pick up coil.
If you purchased your flywheel new in the past 3 years chances are it has the sqare edged magnets.

I hope this helps…
Best regards,
Tim
