2M or 2W?

ok so i go to buy more oil for Pismo this weekend and they dont have oil by the gallon, which is how i usually buy it in havasu. well i had to buy oil in town and they only had Yamalube in quarts that were 2R that is for bikes and quads or 2M that had an outboard on the front and was TCW-3. i know tcw-3 is good for the water but i just dont like how i have oil that has an outboard on the bottle.....

im prettttttty sure the gallon i get is 2W and it has a superjet on it. the mechanic is saying that 2W and 2M is the same and yamaha just changed it and that i CANT run 2R.......but i dont really trust these ding dongs. i ended up buying 2 quarts of 2M just so id have something and to compare when i got home.

TCW oil is fine, I don't run any less than 40:1.

heck i use 2w in my dirtbikes, its cheaper than 2r

Yea yamaha changed it around it still the same oil 2m stands for 2 stroke marine (outboard oil) and 2w stands for 2 stroke watercraft (watercraft 2 stroke) its good stuff i never had a problem with it..but dont use the 2R its crap i always had problems with that stuff when i work for yamaha..
