280 lbs. 750sx-f build

ya man, im just waitin on my turnplate. then i can make some bushings on my lathe, paint it, and i'll be golden:woot: and ya Jordan, i see what you mean now, how are you gonna make the hold? i was think bout usin a small tuperware as a mold. or cut it open from the inside, seal a slightly bigger tupperware dish in there, and the cut from the top just a hole. i think that would look alot better.

I dont know how i am doing it travis made a mold from cardboard and stuff but he messed it up and but the finger lip going the wrong way. He does all the glass work so i ll keep you updated as i work on it. if i can i will go snap a pic and get the old Paint shop pro to explain how its all gonna work

alright, i think im gonna do this. cut out that whole section, seal in some squares, or Tupperware buckets, cut the hanhold, glass back the big piece i cut out, and then sexyness:beerchug:

where the handhold is going i am removing the Ridge that goes up to it as well and making that flat (white lines). something to think about.

ya, i think it would look real nice with those lines smoothed out. and the small holes in the back by the hood latch is a swell idea too. the 550's had that also. and in the front of the hood are you cutting away from the outside part too or just drilling the holes? these are gonna be some trick hoods haha

My hood

I cant find my camara but heres some cell phone pics. right now that front (in the thrid pic) is completly cut out cause the hood was for racing or something. But I will glass that back in and leave two circle holes in it.
-Also on the 2nd pic i didnt cut it completly flat because i lined it up with the hull so it would form a nice line.

O and travis drew that sweet pic on the hood hopefully thats not offensive or not allowed to be posted. IF i cant have that up let me know and i lll do some paint shop pro to the pic.

the 2nd pic is just gonna be glassed smoothe where it is cut to eliminate the round part that comes out over the rails. When its done it will be flush with the seem of the hull.

well he is a painter lol. not the sweet marker job. But he painted my bros 650 and we will be doing his Sj and my 750 this winter. I cant decide on my base color Either a bright/FLO green or black. well i will have to figure something out by the time my hood is done!

hah ya. i wish i would of done a more intense paint hob when i painted mine. i was planning on black hull, handpole, and nose piece with a neon orange topdeck. but when the ice melted in the spring i was just like aww screw fancy paint. i just want to ride. lol so i stuck with the single stage git-r-done paint. haha i think with the new pole i'm gonna paint the hull black and pole black.

hacked up hood...

sxi4ever good work man let me know how your planning on doing those handhold. i am still workin on some ideas. we just don't have time to stay in the garage and work. i guess we ride to much if there is a such thing as to much. lol

i'm actualy not gonna seal em in at all...
If you look at the hood liner it's seperated into two diff. sections, front and back. So i just cut the holds, glassed the top of the air inlate tube so water can't get into the engine compartment. water can come in and get out through the air intake in the front of the hood. and to compensate for the close up air intake in the front i am opening it up more in the back of the hood.
