2021+ Superjet Intake Grate

Looking for AM intake grate to stay hooked up on hard turns. Been looking at Riva and Blowsion 5 fin. A bit of a price difference but the Blowsion 5 fin looks like it would stay hooked up more. Any experiences with either? Open to their ones but those are the 2 I’m looking at.

I got the pro watercraft steering plate, haven’t rode with it on yet bc lakes are still frozen in Michigan. But I’m expecting I’ll want more scoop with more steering.

The Riva grate does not hook up well in hard turns, but it is a vast improvement over stock. I ditched the Riva grate for a blowsion 5 fin and am happy with it for rec riding and some buoys, but it leaves something to be desired around buoys for me. I rode a ski with the Watercross of Texas setup and it is very aggressive, great for buoys but if you're also rec riding its probably a bit too much. I enjoyed it and may purchase this setup for a race or two this year. Haven't tried the JD setup but I would like to try it, I am a huge fan of the JD setup on my 800's for years. I also purchased the Prowatercraft brass intake grate but wont be able to try it until the weather changes.

Thanks @IceRocket1286, that’s really helpful.

I mainly ride on a private lake where it’s often glass so don’t technically ride buoys but that’s the closest style to the riding I’ll do. Occasionally some jumping, 180s and messing around but I like to keep that for my SN.

It looks like a lot of people like the Watercross of Texas grate. It’s good to hear some feedback on the blowing 5 fin. Think I am now between those 2, thinking I’ll be happy with either.

The WOT is good, but it has alot of braking effect when you let off the gas, this is great for bouys, but not as good for rec riding. I ended up running the Watcon Grate. It hooks up really good. Ski has pretty good top speed overall. If I were to start racing, I would go with the WOT.

Go with the Blowsion 5 fin. I rec ride a lot on lake st clair and its perfect for all riding types and water conditions. Like I said, I'd go WCOT for racing, and I want to hit at least one race this year, but the Blowsion 5 fin does just fine. The 3 fin will probably yield similar results to the Riva grate. The only reason I have the Riva grate is because the Blowsion 5 fin and WCOT were sold out when I bought my ski. Couldn't get rid of it fast enough.

We offer all kinds of handling upgrades for the Gen 4. Our billet tri scoop intake works very well for a recreational ski. We are currently working on a more agressive one for racers, and hope to have it done by spring....

We also have our own steering, this is the ONLY steering designed specifically for the gen 4 and works with the stock cable.

We have rear blade sponsons, jet trim, and more.....

Here is a ride along video we did. Check out our channel, we have lots on the gen 4 SJ;

I am now using the Kommander grate with the WCOT 2.0 plate. Seems quite good for staying hooked up. Seems a good amount on braking aspect.

I previously was using the Kommander grate with the Prowatercraft plate (not the "freestyle" one) and I feel the WCOT 2.0 plate is working much better.

I am quite happy with the Kommander grate and WCOT 2.0 plate combo.

I would be interested to know if anyone used a WCOT 2.0 plate with the Kommander grate and changed the Kommander grate to some other grate they feel works even better with the WCOT 2.0 plate than the Kommander?
