Just sold the SV1 and picked up a Edge! its a carbon hybrid layup FR. It will have TPE964, RRP exhaust, Torent 155mm pump , JS ebox with msd and all the normal stuff, dual 46's, have not decided on gas tank or tanks yet. Starting with turf now, i have just about everything so far. I need to rebuild the topend on the 964 already has the cylinders re coated and ready to go, pistons, need a flywheel as well probably just OEM one machined down at my limit for build cost! lol

Turf is almost done! just need to lay the foot area. A good buddy has a laser cuter so I might have him make me a custom dash graphic out of turf. not sure yet. Steering was rebuilt as well I think I prefer the RRP over the blowsion steering. I have Gomez Surf hold going in on the right side also.

test fit, started it and sounded great!! I did all cooling and exhaust last night. things i have left

-install throttle cable the RN cable was to short for the Push Industries intake

-Figure out the straps for the blowsion gas tank, hull inserts fixed and install

-Try to make Battery fit the tank.... its close real close! little sanding , lube and elbow grease should be a perfect fit.

-Wire up Bilge pump, using the Wax Racing harness and rotary switch

-Just ordered a VersiPlug for the scupper should be here monday

I think I have a SN Cable in mine............

On the Versa Plug, I have one in mine as a backup in case the flap broke off. But, Do not remove the flap and run just the Versaplug, It will give you fits. I thought I had an exhaust leak for the longest time, Would ride, put to the shore, pop hood, and smoke, think I even drove to Hugo to ride surf and it ran like crap........ Turns out, it was sucking exhaust back up the scupper tube. The ball that is in it, I feel is too heavy, so it would let the exhaust get sucked back thru. Put the flap back on, and problem went away.

Thanks BK!!! i was leaning towards keeping it on just for looks and now you confirmed it! Does anyone one sell the rear sponsons? I looked briefly and couldnt find any but not a big deal yet! i still need to ride it and see how it feels.

first test ride about 1 gallon of gas, Ski runs great! has some leaks near the bulk head unfortunately but i will fix, The TPE964 has more power then I need currently but love it so far! I got new 46 carbs from HSI and joey knocked it out of the park! ski rips and seems like the carbs are almost perfect straight from HSI just adjusted to idle and that is all.

As far as the Hull goes... well the edge is not just the cool guys club i understand why so many people ride them. The hull feels amazing with very little time on it! short plate, no rear sponsons and no tubbies... i feel pretty comfortable on it already cannot wait to take a drive down to pismo and break it in right!

Ski is leaking some water from the one cooling line at bulk head, i threw some epoxy around it for a quick fix.... does the edge have foam in tray? should install some mini versiplugs to drain the tray for this summer then cut into the tray over the winter and re seal and re foam if they have foam?

I would just do what you said, I dont like the versiplugs for hull cavities. Someone posted pics a while back of a cut out Rickter. Have also heard some had foam block type material, spray foam, (Baddly Filled - Think Sanoman posted one he workd on. @Sanoman )

Burned about 7 gallons of gas in the surf yesterday!! surf was sloppy but weather was great and ski is pretty dam amazing!! rides so good! I feel so comfortable already. Need to make a few small adjustments with foothold, The Gomez surf hold is amazing just have to get it set up perfectly takes a few adjustments. The pole limiter attachment needs to be moved I hit my knee on it multiple times. But i am beyond happy just need to get confidence in its abilities.... and learn to ride again! lol

Well I thought I was going to get away with using non OEM starter from Parts Unlimited.... I knew better! only got 45min ride in and would not restart! sucks when you drive about 8hr total and only get one ride in! lol but hung out with some good guys and still had a blast with the girlfriend too in Pismo!

after 4-5 rides i think its time to dump the RRP in the surf! it hits hard and runs amazing but I am not skilled enough to need that extra power! riding worry free and putting more time in the tray will be better for me then wrenching. I have blown one exhaust coupler, One sand filter gone and gotten water ingested a few times now. which means ill need a impeller, carb adjustment and prob switch to full size rrp tank.
