Super Jet 2011 superjet, anyone know the laws for NY?

Hey Guys,

so i finally decided im going to be snagging a new 2011 superjet
YAY

the problem: im from NY
after poking around it looks like in NY and Cali they don't sell 2 strokes anymore...so i found a CT dealership who says they can order one for me.

my question: will i have trouble registering this ski in NY? can i register it in CT if i live in NY?

would suck to have a ski i can't register....

buy a secondhand set up ski , buying a new super jet will cost you just way to much , i have spent more on upgrades than i did on the Ski it self when i brought it new and its still a super jet .
have a think about what you will be using it for and then find one on here that someone else has spent a :):):):) load of cash on . if you want a flat water freestyle or a freeride ski defiantly buy a already built ski .
there are some nice ones on here right now , it will save you loads of cash

here you go much better buy than a new SJ http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/84409-2010-828cc-Stroker-BOB-READY-TO-FLIP-11-000

Agreed.

without a doubt, I laugh when I see how much a new one goes for, then you'll end up stripping it down and mod the crap out of it. You can buy one already modded much cheaper than you can build one, and stock just won't cut it eventually. Sooner than later btw!

interesting guys

i really only planned on a graphic kit, handpole, handle bars, trigger throttle, and dry pipe....

you guys still don't think it's worth it?
i wonder if i would still have an issue registering in NY

I'm pretty sure you'll have no problems registering the new ski in NY, you just can't buy it there.

I know I've read a thread on this before. search around a bit more if no one else chimes in.

call up dmv. tell them what you bought and ask how do i register it. i dont see why it would be different from any other older 2 stroke ski.you just cant buy them in ny and cali. like what wavedemon said.
