Kevin,

most of us dont ride around the campsite, we trailer to the beach ( main ride area for this event) because of the waves, and water depth.

its VERY shallow where I have ridden near the campsite, and the boat ramp was NOT ski conducive at all.

call Mike and ask him where you should camp.

edit- I love the engine mock up on the kitchen table!

Hey mouth Im up for some mowing or at least get crazy with the weedeater on friday. Anything to help make it more enjoyable. Let me know what you have in mind.

I might be able to bring a push mower, if we can find volunteers to mow sections ( its a BIG place)

Onesoujurner did not think the MO rangers would mind...

keep in mind, im hauling this mower like 300 miles...
the chiggers were the SUCK there last year though.

If someone that lives CLOSER can bring a mower, Id certainly put gas in it and help mow some!

who could we call and ask? state wise?

Ill see if I can call the state park folks there and inquire.

Hey guys. I've been following this forum waiting for when the final weekend was picked, and I think I'm going to try and make it (this is my first time - only been riding standups for a couple summers). Do all the campsites fill up every year? When would I have to make my final decision by in order to still get a spot?

They were pretty full last year.
some are NON-reservable sites though, so its a crap shoot as to whether you can snag one or not.

if you have a small footprint ( single small tent) someone might let you crash on their site, I think they will allow 2 tents per site.

Id say you have another 2 months before every available campsite is gone, although Ill recommend that you get site 12 or 13 in area 1 right away!

The St louis crew ( Lou, and those guys) camped down in area 3 I think last year, not sure where they are this year.

If you know those guys from St louis you might want to send a PM to XFT lou, and see where they are camping, but you are certainly welcomed to camp near us misfits too if you want, and partake in the campfire, and fun with us as well.

Awesome. Yea I don't know Lou, but I know a guy who bought one of his skis. I'm going to talk to him and see if he's interested. Thanks for the help. Look forward to meeting everyone if I end up going!

Yeah I think it's wise to check with the Park authority, you might be mowing down some Obama-protected rare natural grassland only found in the Ozarks country....

And oh yeah the water can be shared, actually I think its between the two sites anyway the way the diagram puts it.
