2008: Year of decision on 2 strokes

The EPA has mandated no conventional 2 strokes for 2009
For those who may be thinking of buying a new standup, what's the strategy for 2008?

A) buy a new 2008 2 stroke and
a1) be glad you have it since nobody will make an under $10K standup in 2009
a2) kick yourself in the fall when the new 2009 Kaw and Yam 4 stokes make your ski obsolete as a model T

OR

B) Wait till 2009 to buy new and
b1) be glad you waited and buy the new 2009 4 stroke yam or kaw
b2) kick yourself because nobody is making ANY standups under $10k and now you can't even get a 2008 2 stroke

what they need to do for 2009 is make a 2 stroke like the evinrude etec. It is cleaner than the 4strokes. Even if you do wait until 2009, you can still buy a used 2008, or wait until they unveil the new models, if they even include a standup, and some dealers may still have leftovers.

i doubt any fourstroke is gonna make two-strokes obsolete for surf or freeride any time soon. sure would hate to get some water in there...............

i wouldnt doubt if they keep the sj engine the same and direct inject it
