2008 SJ CDI rev limiter resistance?

I am thinking about modding my 2008 CDI. I have cut open a 61X CDI to make sure I was able to do it without issue. The resistor I pulled from there was just under 100K.

I have read the 2008 rev limit is set higher from the factory, does anyone know what its resistance and respective RPM limit is? Should I even bother.

Just to be clear, assuming I was running all-out in stock form; is my rev limiter kicking in and out? I never notice it.

heard the same thing about the 08 having a higher rev limit than the previous years. But cannot give any official response.

we ran one this weekend w/ a b pipe and 12/17 scat swirl, on a buoy course it never hit the rev limiter. b pipes only rev so much

I would say that if I can get an enhancer for $177 shipped, I wouldn't even bother with modding the stocker.

MSD = Better timing curve and bumped limiter all in one nice sealed package.

True, I was going to get a MSD CDI but I have heard mixed reviews, and I am thinking of going to a Dual Digital TL sysem in the next few months. I must save some cash first or find a nice used one.
