Please vote for the dates that work best....
I vote for the same weekend (approximately) as last year. St. Patricks day March 16-17-18. I have other commitments the weekend of the 24th-25th so that is definitely out for me.
I vote to stay away from Spring Break- perhaps the cops won't be so uptight without ten thousand underage drinkers on the beach....

950 - spring break occurs in some form or another (high schools & colleges) in Galveston over 3 consecutive weeks...that's 4 weekends.
Can I make a command decision and just say March 17?
Makes it easy to remember if the ride coincides with St Paddy's day (like we need another reason to party) - I also have to work the rodeo during that time and I've already told them I would out of town for the weekend of the 17th.
I also don't want to screw around trying to decide on a date like we did last year.
I think the end of spring break might be the better option, by that point the partying has pretty much ended. It is also the same weekend of last years ride (if I recall correctly that it was the last weekend of spring break & St. Pattys W/E).
I think last year was right in between two different spring breaks - I remember the lady at the liquor store bemoaning the fact that it was the worst weekend of the year for spring breakers.
Is that to be taken there were too many, or not enough and bad for business?
Do I get a say-so in the date:sneaky:
