2007 SJ Carb Question

I was going to adjust the carbs on my 2007 SJ today and when I took off the hood and looked at my carbs, I noticed that the carbs did not have anything to adjust. Does anyone know how to adjust the carbs on a stock 2007 sj?

What are you trying to adjust on them? all the knobs and screws are on the sides.

Haha sure they do...they are the 38mm mikuni carbs that every 96+ uses

High adjust is on the top left, low is on the bottom/middle right

adjust under the tamper caps.
search thread to remove caps; they are there to comply with EPA
and prevent tampering

We do take them all apart and machine the carb body down to be able to get to them easily for tuning. After machining you can use some pre'05 carb adjusters also.

On later SJ years, the carbs had tamper caps installed on the hi & lo adjusters that prevented casual access to the adjustment screws.
You have to drill them out or otherwise machine them off to get to the adjusters.
