2004 sxr800 build for daughter

Location

Hello!

I saved this from a farmers field. Evicted the tenants lol.
This will be a long restoration as my daughter is only 5 months right now. I would like to get her riding in a couple years. Until then im fixing this up in my spare time, which is nearly non existent. I hear they are very stable so that will be great. Our other skis are a 750ss/xi, 750sx with a factory pipe, and an 08 SJ full bolt ons.

Do the trays in these skis become waterlogged?

I was debating mechanically restoring it first, then fixing stress cracks and restoring the hull last once my daughter can tell me what color she likes.

SXRs use Styrofoam in the tray area. It's open and wet all the time. No need to redo it, since Styrofoam is closed cell foam. If you add a Versi-plug, it will drain that area and keep the ski lighter, since the siphon stops at the driveshaft bulkhead/wall.

Wanna sell that handle pole ? I’ll send you a stock setup as well
No sorry. I know these are hard to come by now as I've been looking for a while for our 750sx, unless you offered me a ridiculous number.

Awesome! Thats so much less work for me! Hopefully whatever worked its way in from the chipmunks will work its way out! Ill add a versi plug along with a bilge pump.
