2000 Sea-Doo XP 951 Parts?

Hello All!

My XP's crankshaft went bad. Where is a good place to buy a new crankshaft & counter balance? What brand is the best?
Also where can i find colored cooling lines? What size should they be and how much length should i purchase?

Thanks!

Or maybe Seadooforum?

Cranks are in short supply at the moment. Your best crank for the money is going to be to send yours to Competitive Crankshafts.
No reason at al to replace the cooling lines. IF you just want it for cosmetics then ebay.

Nobody ever replaces cooling lines on Seadoos so you will have a hard time finding that answer, OEM crankshafts are best if you are wanting new, Competitive crankshafts if you are wanting a reman crankshaft, SBT and WSM offer new crankshafts, you get what you pay for though.

Hot Rod crankshafts have been hit and miss, some years they were good, some years they are crap, roll the dice on that one if you want, Personally I wouldn't, very little of the waterline on a Seadoo can be seen after the engine and exhaust is installed, especially on a 951 ,I don't see the point here

to each his own, i am probably going to get a crank and counter balance from Erickson Machine & Performance. He uses one that are for race skis he said. $795 for crank, $200 for counter balance.

Why would you spend $800 for a crank when you can get one direct from Seadoo for $500? Plenty of race skis used OEM seadoo cranks so it will be better than ok for your rebuild. Even Competitive Crankshafts is $500 and he is one of the best in the business.

Pretty much said that in the quote above, BTW this search took me about 30 seconds on Google, in case you are wondering the DI crankshaft is the same as the carb version except for the counterbalencer gear, you simply use the DI counterbalancer instead of the carb version and of course you ,I just thought I would go ahead and say it before you try to correct someone who knows what they are talking about.

I never said you did , it has been my experience in years past that people come on asking for advice then argue with the same people that give them advice, I don't know why that is but I do know that is what usually happens., maybe you are different

I am different, I'm not going to argue with anyone on here unless they act like a prick. You guys all know much more info than I can hope to know, I appreciate any help I get from these exchanges.

If competitive crankshafts will do the job for anywhere near $500 that would be my first choice if OEM is not available WSM would be my second, Hot Rods and SBT would tie for last place
