If you're talking about basing it on a Yamaha 701 bottom end:
Designed to 1L: www.adaracing.com (989cc, bigger with bigger stroke)
Some builders get close to that with Lamey cylinders.
Lately a few have done it starting with the Yamaha GP800 motors since the stock stroke of a GP800 motor is the same as what would require a 10mm stroker on a 701-based motor.
Thats what im talking about. some day i would like to build my own motor but i have a lot to learn about 2 stroke porting. I understand most of the theories of operation about a 2 stroke motor but there is a lot i don't. any one have any good resources
i know the biggest you can go on a stock 800 cylinder and cases i believe is 927 with a stroker crank and big bore 66V cylinders
in cases of 1000cc monsters you are talking stock but highly modified cases and custom one off cylinders such as what you see in the case of the DASA, ADA, Lamey, cylinders
