94 fx1 with factory pipe, stock sbn 44 mikuni.Rode the ski a couple of days ago and when you started in to the high speed jet,the ski would just stall and fall flat on it's face.l had to squirt gas from the primer to keep it running the closer l got to the dock. The carb has never been rebuilt. So decided to rebuild it.And used a genuine mikuni rebuild kit. l also looked at the one way valve on the gas tank and found it wasn't any good.Replaced it.Rebuilt the carb and reinstalled it.While taking the carb apart,l didn't see anything that was a problem.Thought maybe the diaphragm might be torn but nothing.Ski still runs great but when you let off the throttle it will almost stall and then catches itself. Also hard to start crank, crank, crank and then she fires up.

Two possible problems:One is l used the new spring from the kit and l'm going to put the old one back in it and the second is l might have gotten one of the two small disks(check valves) in backwards. But l think l still may have another problem.Where she died out on acceleration before, now she wants to stall when you let off,so in a way the problem has changed.

So has any of X'ers got some advise or pointers?

Changed the spring back to the old one and looked like one of the check valve disks was a little warped.Heading to the lake.....

But still looking to see if someone on here has an idea.

Updated....got the stall down to a hiccup when you let off the throttle at speed.Going back out and l'm going to try turning the low speed all the way in and see if that changes the problem.Later....
