i have not much experiance with glassing, i understand its strength and benifits, i allways feel like the one i do would end up like paper mache and just break. i gotta get my balls up and just buy a pint or so and start playing with it. what do you mean by toe holds, got any pics?[/QUOTE]

These took me about 1 hour to get to this point once I started.

Nice, definitly helps with the pics, i need to order up some turf one of these days, i would like to replace the stock stuff, but it seems like time consuming process and i can only probably get in about 2 hours after work before it gets cold and dark working in my brothers driveway. so for right now ill have to hold off.

as an update, i took it to the lake this weekend, kinda got stuck a couple hours because my old battery was dead, the new battery i had bought but never charged apparently didnt hold the charge when i set it overnight so i had to buy a third battery so even though we were at the lake at 8am, i didnt get to ride until about 2pm.

anywho heres some pics of the new/updates graphics. chrome vinyl is the base, and theres metalflake blue on top of the vinyl. to accent where the original blue was. if i feel like changing or it gets messed up i can replace it easily by removing it. i think i didnt do too bad for my first big vinyl job. also i think i cut the CF numbers a big larger than i needed but whatever, hahaha.

i just need to cut out a few more accent graphics and add them. oh yeah and i was thinking of chroming the handlepole also.

how fresnobakersfieldian of you.

j/k

might want to start doin stuff that will make it ride better, like lookin for a polished -2 ac pole, a much better option. stock sn poles belong in the dumpster.

good luck!

BTW- i know a few guys that dont flush their skis at all after salt, a couple days is nbd for a 650

well my bank account is low right now, so as i save up im doing the cheap/easy stuff. i got some smaller stuff on order but im still trying to get some stuff. the ski pulls hard now, all i needed to do was fix one of the shaft splines or whatever and rebuild/tune the carb and i got alot more power than i had last season. so im not trying to mess with the engine too much. im trying to get a used ride plate and are thinking about the drivetrain side of the ski. impeller, grate, cone etc..

Im definitly gonna need a new handlepole soon, the one i have is cracked around where the mount meets the bushing on the right side, and now theres some left to right play in the pole, the steering was also loose but i just tightened it up.

If you ever need to replace your handle pole don't even bother with the aluminum poles made for the square.
They look like an abortion, are too wide, suck with shorter turn plates and cost too much.
Look for a stock RN pole and you are all set.

thanks i noticed the aluminum ones were a bit pricy (399-799) but will a stock RN pole hook right up or will it require any modification? such as needing the RN plate.

anything i can get off any of the new jetskis i would rather keep it yamaha and take it from another yamaha such as an 07 or 08 yamaha, i wish there was a list of parts that can just be swapped out.

You can reuse your SN pole bracket, you will need to grind the pole a bit on the bottom and you will need a few fender washers as spacers.
The turn plates are just about the same on squares and the round noses so you can reuse yours, get one with the RN pole or pick up an aftermarket one.

One cool thing about the RN pole is that you can shorten it really easily and once reinforced will last a long time. That plus they look a whole lot better than the SN shovels.

i did a rn pole/bracket conversion on my brothers boat a couple months ago. it turned out good but if i built another square id run a ac. i like the looks with a polished ac pole for some reason .........ive em seen used for ~200
